- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups boiling water
Mix sugar, flour and salt. Gradually add water. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Serve over cake or use on other desserts.
